• Worship is a kingly activity!
• Worship is at the core of the Ten Commandments
• Worship is NOT just songs – fast or slow\
• Worship is NOT just a time of a religious activity
• Worship is the TOTALITY of the duty of a person to God

I. KINGS DESIRE WORSHIP

A. God initiated worship in the hearts of the wise men

B. Herod coveted worship

"Kings desire worship because it broadcasts who they are. Worship attributes authority and power".

II. KINGS DEMAND WORSHIP

• God demands worship because he deserves it as Creator and Redeemer.
• God demands worship because our eternal destiny depends on it

III. KINGS DWELL IN WORSHIP

A. The place of worship

B. The posture of worship

C. The presents of worship

"Kings are collectors of rich and good gifts from their subjects even as they may bequeath such good gifts to their citizens as well"

IV. KINGS DEFEND WORSHIPERS

A. The wise men were led away from Herod

B. The immediate family of Joseph was led away to Egypt

Watch these 5 things:

1. God alone is to be worshiped through Jesus
2. God always takes the initiative in leading us to worship
3. God wants you to always respond to his invitation
4. God desires that you worship him with your substance
5. God’s overarching design is to bring ALL nations to the feet of Jesus!
