LIVING BEYOND EXCUSES
DEVOTION TO GOD
Deuteronomy 6:1-5
Introduction
God is your maker and your owner. As a result he desires and deserves nothing
less than your total devotion to him. Instead of allowing circumstances to
reduce your devotion to God, make them the very things that push you more to
him.
Note
Your level of devotion to God will
define your rising or lifting in life.
1. The
Way
A. Love- Luke 10:25-28, Matt 22: 34-40, Mark 12:28-31
·
God – Luke 10:25-28, Deut. 6:5
·
Self – Romans 8:1-2
·
Others – 2 Cor. 5:14-15; John 13:34 – 35
B. Self Infusion
This has to do with the intensity of
your devotion.
·
Deut.
6:5;
·
Luke
16:13;
- Romans 12:1-3
There is an appeal to believers to
·
Render ourselves
·
All we are
·
All we have
·
And all we can do.
2. The Challenges
Romans 8:37-38
3. The
Blessings
A. Long life – Psalm 91:16
B. Well-Being - Psalm 92:12; Phil.
4:19; Deut. 28:3-14
C. Great Increase - 2 Cor. 9:8
D. Trans-Generational Blessing/
Godly Heritage - Deut. 6:2
Conclusion
God’s design for all believers is to
live a life of fulfillment despite all odds. Only a life totally devoted to him
will produce this result.
